Underfloor Heating Extension in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire

Brief

We were contacted by a homeowner to price his sunroom and kitchen extension in Tenbury Wells. After recognising one of our vans at another project in the area, the client quoted us for the installation and application of liquid screed for underfloor heating. 

Key Considerations

The client had already contacted their regular plumber for a quote, meaning we had to show our expertise in the area in order to offer an alternative to his plumber. Furthermore, the client wanted to supply their own Hive thermostats for a smart home heating system.

What We Achieved

We were able to offer an estimate for designing, supplying and installing the underfloor heating and liquid screed, demonstrating that our expert surveyors could ensure all calculations were precise.

Having undertaken a survey of the floor levels, we were able to determine the liquid screed levels required to meet the customers’ requested datum. The floor area worked out slightly less than the client anticipated, so we were able to carry out the underfloor installation and liquid screed application at no extra costs to our client.

Our installers put the manifold in place and installed the underfloor heating loops in accordance with the computer-aided design. Having left the system under pressure on test overnight, the liquid screed Midlands team were able to pump and install liquid screed the following morning. 

Lastly we were able to design a system to accommodate the client’s Hive thermostats and supply extremely efficient heating to their home.
