Underfloor Heating for New Build in Hookagate, Shrewsbury

Brief

The Easyflow underfloor heating Shrewsbury team designed and installed a bespoke underfloor heating system for the ground floor of a new property in Hookagate, Shrewsbury. The residential client required floor insulation, with anydrite based liquid floor screed.

Key Considerations

This new build property was designed with underfloor heating already in mind, making this a straightforward design and installation process. That said, the customer specified a two-zone system that was easy to manage.

What we Achieved

The underfloor heating Shropshire survey team first assessed the property to see if the customer’s requirements were possible. In line with the customers’ requirements, our designers proposed a two zone UFH system with 50mm floor insulation and 50mm liquid floor screed. We excluded some sections from the design, such as the fireplace, in order to prevent hot spots.

The customer was happy with the design, and our underfloor heating Shrewsbury installers visited the property a second time to lay floor insulation, a vapour barrier, then the underfloor heating pipes.

Our team will return to the property at a later date to pressure test the system and lay the liquid floor screed to the required datum point.
