Floor Levelling in Nantwich
Brief
Easyflow were commissioned for a floor levelling job on an existing floor for a refurbishment project in Nantwich. The floor had a finish on it that was suffering from moisture and sloping, and the client wanted floor screed for a fresh, new start.
Key Considerations
The property in question had a solid concrete floor that was quite old. Over time, this kind of floor erodes, or settles, causing uneven surfaces. This would easily be remedied with cement based self levelling screed.
We needed to determine if the present moisture was trapped there by the floor finish or the result of rising damp. We would have to undertake moisture testing to see if it decreased to normal levels or stayed the same.
What we Achieved
After the exisiting surface was removed, a moisture test was carried out to ensure that there was no latent moisture left in the substrate. There was not, and the floor levelling job could continue as planned.
Our team then laid a rapid-setting high-performance self levelling screed, ideal to be mixed on site and laid to depths of up to 15mm. The floor screed was tamped to remove any hidden air bubbles and then left to dry.
