Underfloor Heating in Eccleshall

Brief

After being referred to Easyflow by a friend, the client contacted our underfloor heating installers to design an underfloor heating system covered with self-levelling screed for his barn conversion in Eccleshall, Staffordshire.

Key Considerations

This customer was very price conscious and wanted to budget for other improvements alongside their underfloor heating. We would have to consider an optimal layout and options that would help keep costs down.

We also had to take into account areas of high heat loss, such as the four-metre wide sliding doors to the outside. This would also affect the type of self-levelling screed we could use, as some types of screed are not designed for exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

What we Achieved

Our underfloor heating installers reviewed the floor plans and visited the site to talk through the client’s requirements in more detail. We were able to offer some options to keep the costs down, which the client agreed to.

A design was completed taking the high heat loss areas into account, and a cement screed was chosen as it is very robust and suitable for outdoor applications. Once agreed, Easfylow were commissioned to install the client’s insulation, supply and install the underfloor heating and self-levelling screed over 2.5 days on site.
