Underfloor Heating and Cement Screed in Macclesfield

Brief

Our underfloor heating team in Manchester worked closely with Belverdale Building Contractors in Cheshire to design, supply and install underfloor heating and liquid screed on large single developments around Greater Manchester.

Our latest project with them was an extension, new build detached garage and house remodel of a property in Macclesfield, which required underfloor heating, covered with an appropriate self-levelling screed.

Key Considerations

Because part of the property was a detached garage, we needed to use a self-levelling screed suitable for all-weather use. While anhydrite screed is optimal for use with underfloor heating, it’s not suitable for outdoor or cold-weather applications. Cement screed would be ideal for this circumstance.

What We Achieved

After receiving the floor plans, the underfloor heating Manchester team designed a bespoke underfloor heating system for the property, designed and calculated to BS EN 1264. When Belverdale were happy with the proposed design, we worked over the course of a few days to lay the heating pipes and cover it with self-levelling screed
